The new facility’s production was piped into Glen Grant until the turn of the century. The distillery was closed until 1965, when it was expanded and renamed Caperdonich. JAPAN SPEYSIDE HIGHLAND In 1962, George Christie built this distillery in the centuries-old “dry stane dyking” method, that is, stone structures put together without any mortar, opposite the former Drumguish distillery.
